What does AfricaPrepay.com Do

How does the beneficiary receive the airtime I have sent?
  1. The Airtime will automatically credited to there account.
  2. If you are sending to providers that doesn’t support automatic credit the beneficiary will receive an SMS containing the PIN number and instructions on how to load the airtime on to their phone.
Is the airtime received immediately?

The airtime access number and auto load is generally received within 5 – 10 seconds on average.

My Transaction has failed, however money was deducted from my account. How can I get my money back?

It can happen that there’s a disturbance at the provider, or that for a provider only a certain amount of international refills are allowed. As you can see, there are multiple reasons why your transaction can fail. If your  transaction fails, for any reason whatever, you can request a refund of the entire amount (including the service fee) just write us at customer.service@africaprepay.com.

When we do this, it’s possible that the amount remains reserved on your credit card. But don’t worry, this will be added to your balance automatically. When you pay with credit card it can take 3-4 working days until you receive the amount back in your account.

Do you store my credit card or bank information?

We do not receive or store your payment information. When you get to the payment part of the transaction, you will be redirected to our Credit Care Processor, Mobile Money or PayPal where you will complete the transaction. How can the amount I pay differ from the amount of credit that I receive?

This has to do with the exchange rate. Think of:

  • Slightly unfavorable exchange rates
  • A refill for a higher amount in comparison to a lower amount could be cheaper

Do we guarantee you get the best price? We sure do! But we’re always dependent on our supplier. You always receive the amount of credit indicated on our website, that’s a fact.

Do you share any of my information with other companies?

No, our policy is to keep all your information confidential and only use it for refunds and customer service.

If I am in Uganda or Kenya and I do not own a credit card can I use the service?

Yes. We accept payments by mobile money however at the moment the mobile money system payments provided by the telecom networks are not instantly reconciled and because of this we are unable to provide an instant service to mobile money users. Mobile money users receive delayed airtime. This can take up to 1 hours in worse case situations.

How do I get a refund?

If you experience a problem during the transaction, please send us an email at customer.support@africaprepay.com along with the transaction number that was provided to you. The problem will be investigated and a refund effected if we find that you were charged for incomplete services. However, we do not provide refunds for transactions completed without any problems.
